Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic in Wisconsin to safely operate, repair, and maintain Company owned or leased heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure fleet readiness for daily operations.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, with additional pay possibilities based on experience and certifications. The role includes overtime after 40 hours, a sign-on bonus, and benefits commencing after 60 days.

• Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
• Experience with preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Sign On Bonus Included! $500 upon hire. $1,000 after 6 months. $1,000 after 1year.

Shift: 10am-8pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
