Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.

Starting pay is $26–$30/hr with overtime after 40 hours and two shift options. Benefits kick in after 60 days, including PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, 401K and health coverage, with opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections and diagnose issues on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO and other truck components.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep fleet ready for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $26-$30/hr More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs.

1)4am-2pm M-F.

2)830am-6pm M-F.
