GFL Environmental Inc. in Jacksonville, Illinois, is seeking a diesel truck maintenance technician to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain Company-owned or leased heavy-duty equipment to keep the fleet safe and ready for daily use.

Starting pay ranges from $26 to $30 per hour, with higher wages possible based on experience and certifications. Two shift options are available: 4am–2pm and 8:30am–6pm, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing diesel refuse trucks or heavy duty diesel equipment preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Capable of performing preventative maintenance and repairs to keep fleet ready.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $26-$30/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.Shift: 2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs.
