Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Sauk Centre, MN is seeking a skilled technician to safely operate, repair, and maintain our heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure fleet readiness for daily operations.

Starting pay is $26-$33 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and benefits after the introductory period. The shift is 12pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with growth opportunities based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy duty diesel trucks.
• Air brake/hydraulic system experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical systems.
• Reliable, safety‑minded and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems and other components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues to keep trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Complete preventative maintenance to ensure fleet readiness.

Job Overview

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $26-$33/hr More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 12pm-10pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.

Air Brake/Hydraulic Exp required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
