Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel refuse trucks. You will work on hydraulic, electrical, brake, and suspension systems, ensuring safe, reliable fleet operation and performing preventive maintenance.

The role features a 4x10 shift (3pm–1am Tue–Fri) with overtime after 40 hours and pay starting at $30+ per hour, with higher compensation based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel refuse trucks is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
