Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment on site. Starting pay is $27-$35 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a 6am-5pm shift, Monday through Friday.

The role requires experience with engines, transmissions and electrical diagnostics and familiarity with Mack, Cummins and Allison software. ASE certifications earn a $0.25 bump per T Series ASE upon certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $27-$35/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Starting Shift: 6am-5pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked!

Needs to have experience with engines, transmission, electrical diagnostics. Be familiar with Mack, Cummins, and Allison software to diagnose the issues with our trucks on site.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
