Job summary

GFL Industries in Topeka, KS is seeking a heavy‑duty diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company trucks and equipment to keep the fleet performing reliably. Starting pay is $30-$35/hr with overtime after 40 hours. Shift is 11am–7:30pm, Mon–Fri.

Training on the first shift during the first 90 days. ASE testing is paid, and certs earn a $0.25 bump per T Series ASE. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safelyStarting Pay: $30-$35/hr

More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.Shift: 11am-730pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked. Will be trained on first shift the first 90 days. We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
