Job summary

GFL Industries seeks a diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. The role emphasizes diagnosing issues, performing repairs and preventative maintenance to keep fleets running safely and reliably.

The position offers a starting pay of $29-$35 per hour, with more pay based on experience and certifications. Shift is 3pm–11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
