Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on the company vehicle fleet to ensure trucks are safe and operational. You will diagnose issues, replace necessary parts, and maintain documentation while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include servicing electrical and hydraulic systems, completing DVIRs, and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle components.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose hardware and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related systems.
• Check and replace fluids and filters as needed.
• Inspect and service vehicle safety devices to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct routine housekeeping and keep tools and workspace organized.
• Maintain accurate service records in computer/tablet systems.
• Interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
