Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a heavy truck fleet. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in record-keeping, and adherence to company maintenance schedules and DVIRs.

You will diagnose issues, replace components, manage fluids, and complete paperwork while working closely with internal and external customers. Full-time position with potential nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicles or components.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform complex repairs on heavy trucks and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Replace components, fluids, and filters as needed.
• Inspect and repair vehicle support systems (electrical, air, brake).
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices function properly and maintain shop cleanliness.
