Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet to keep trucks safe and operational. You will perform routine maintenance, service calls, and repairs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read DVIRs are essential, with experience on heavy trucks highly valued. The role requires flexible hours, including nights/weekends as needed, and adherence to company safety

Qualifications

Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle components.
Knowledge of truck components and diesel engines is preferred.
Experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
Replace components, adjust systems, and change fluids/filters as needed.
Inspect safety devices and ensure road readiness of vehicles.
Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
