Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician in Oxnard, CA to assist in providing safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles. You will learn to perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, along with diagnosis to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime, contributing to overall fleet reliability.

You will handle inspections, scheduled repairs, and road-call repairs while documenting work in the SAP system and using Sysco computer programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks.
• 1 year experience with 2-year technical degree or 3 years fleet maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform maintenance repairs and diagnose malfunctions per manufacturer specs (engines, transmission, drive-line, electrical, HVAC, braking, etc).
• Document all work in the SAP Work Order system using standard format.
