Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to conduct preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on a wide range of fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers. You will diagnose issues, perform quality repairs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 2-year to 3-year experience in fleet maintenance, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.

Qualifications

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
High school diploma or GED required.
2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, lift-gates and other equipment.
Perform repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups promptly and efficiently.
Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems per manufacturer specs.
Document all work performed on work orders.
Learn and use Sysco computer programs and diagnostic tools.
