Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to support Fleet Technician II and III in maintaining safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles. You will learn to perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose faults, and execute repairs under experienced supervision to minimize downtime and improve overall fleet reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning across engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and lift-gate mechanisms.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all vehicle systems and components.
• Basic ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems on all equipment.
• Basic welding and cutting skills (gas, electric, MIG, TIG).
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Learn to perform CVI/FAI inspections on fleet vehicles under guidance.
• Learn to diagnose and repair under supervision to ensure safety and reliability.
