Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

You will diagnose malfunctions, perform electrical and mechanical repairs to manufacturer specifications, and document work orders. The role requires safety-conscious work habits, attention to detail, and the ability to operate diagnostic tools and welding equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow procedures and document all work performed on work orders.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use electrical meter testing skills.
