Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose complex vehicle systems, and complete repairs to keep tractors, trailers and equipment on the road safely and cost-effectively.

You will follow standard procedures, document work orders, and maintain proficiency with diagnostic software and tools while adhering to DOT and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per legal/regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow procedures and document all work performed on work orders.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
