Job summary

Sysco Foods in Louisville, KY is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, conducting annual inspections, following safety and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining accurate service records. A strong electrical/mechanical background and tool proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Formal or vocational training in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver license and clean record.
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance/repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within required timeframes.
• Conduct annual inspections on tractors, trailers, and related equipment per regulations.
• Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems to manufacturer specs.
• Document all work performed on work orders and use Sysco computer programs.
• Communicate any safety or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
