Job summary

Sysco Foods in Jessup, MD is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

You will diagnose issues across engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic lift gates, follow work orders, and work evenings or nights as required. Tools are provided; competitive hourly pay with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years of fleet maintenance and repair familiar with preventive maintenance.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and equipment as required by law.
• Perform quality repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and exhaust systems.
• Follow work orders and document all performed work.
