Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Part-Time Diesel Fleet Technician I to support fleet maintenance and preventive repairs. You will learn under senior technicians to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, helping maximize safety, reliability, and uptime across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Education and training in heavy-duty truck technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; CDL preferred.
• Apprentice must own and provide all tools; company provides major tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Learn to conduct Annual/First Article inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Follow safety and documentation procedures for work orders.
• Develop proficiency with Sysco computer programs under supervision.
• Assist with repairs to engines, transmissions, drive-line, braking, and electrical systems.
