Job summary

Sysco Raleigh, LLC is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to develop skills in preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a full fleet of vehicles. You will learn under Fleet Technician II & III to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

This role emphasizes safety, tool ownership and Sysco training modules; apprenticeship includes regular reviews, hands-on work, and growth into certified technician paths.

Qualifications

• 2-year medium/heavy duty truck technical training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL preferred and basic tool knowledge expected.
• Apprentice will have performance reviews and training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Assist with FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Learn to perform maintenance repairs under guidance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Address vehicle inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Diagnose malfunctions and learn to repair engine, transmission, brakes and HVAC systems.
• Document work orders with concise cause and correction notes.
