Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an entry-level Fleet Technician to learn and perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will work under experienced technicians to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet.

The role emphasizes learning inspections, diagnostics, and basic repair tasks with guidance, while adhering to all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2-year tech training in heavy-duty trucks (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision to maximize safety and reliability.
• Learn to conduct Annual/First Article inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs under guidance to ensure compliance with manufacturer specs.
• Document all work on work orders with accurate cause and correction statements.
