Job summary

Sysco Anchorage is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to support Fleet Technician II/III by learning preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on company vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose issues under supervision, document work orders, and progressively take on more complex tasks as you gain skills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of all vehicle systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems on equipment.
• Welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG) proficiency.
• Basic computer skills and software literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with required inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Learn to perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles under guidance.
• Learn and perform quality maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
• Document work performed on work orders with accurate fault, cause and correction.
• Develop proficiency in Sysco computer programs under supervision.
• Contribute to safety, reliability, and cost efficiency of the fleet.
