Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles, ensuring safety and DOT compliance. You will perform repairs per schedules, manage DVIRs, and maintain accurate records.

Experience with diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, and reading repair manuals is required. Willingness to work nights/weekends and pass pre-employment testing is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair trucks.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines; welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs in a safe manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs.
  • Inspect, repair, and overhaul vehicle systems including electrical, air, and brakes.
  • Perform roadside repairs when qualified and complete DOT inspection forms.
