Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet. You will diagnose issues, service electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety devices function properly.

Responsibilities include road-side repairs when qualified, maintaining records, and adhering to maintenance schedules while working as part of a team dedicated to reliability and service to customers and communities.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; diesel/heavy truck knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul vehicle systems including electrical, air, and brakes.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
