Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles to keep trucks safe and operational. The role requires reading repair manuals, using electrical schematics, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

You'll perform routine repairs, service brakes and engines, and conduct road-side support when qualified. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are essential, with prior diesel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read repair manuals and schematics.
• A background in diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Replace components, check fluids, and service brakes and electrical systems.
• Inspect and service vehicle support systems and perform road-side repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices are functioning properly and maintain tool/shop area.
