Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostics, and safe operation, with teamwork support and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and relevant maintenance experience or a cert./apprenticeship. ASE certs and Class A CDL preferred; tools provided by the employee may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or completion of a vehicle maintenance certificate or Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify issues and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents maintenance in writing and electronically.
