Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic / Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractor fleet, trailers, forklifts and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, documenting work in writing and electronically, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy components, operate manual/automatic trucks, and collaborate with a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or related certification/apprentice program.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must have necessary tools and ability to drive as needed.
• Basic computer skills and diagnostics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Documents maintenance work in writing and electronically.
• Conducts safety inspections and reports findings.
• Performs paint and body work as required.
• Works with other technicians to complete repairs.
