Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role requires preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely documentation of work performed.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience or a corresponding certificate, and ASE certifications with Class A CDL preferred. Tools are provided by the candidate as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year vehicle maintenance experience or certification in vehicle maintenance.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and diagnostic tools.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance programs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and equipment.
• Perform basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians on maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance work in writing and electronically.
• Conduct safety inspections and document findings.
• Perform paint and body work as needed.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
