Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractor fleet, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repair to ensure safe, efficient operations.

A starting hourly rate of $30.70 is offered, with additional pay opportunities for ASE Master Certification and tool reimbursement. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience or apprenticeship completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED), preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance and completes reports in writing and electronically.
