Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to learn preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles under experienced technicians. You will assist with inspections, diagnose issues, and support safety and reliability across the fleet.

You will develop hands-on skills in engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and diagnostics, while completing Sysco training modules. This role requires physical work, adherence to safety protocols, and occasional travel to other facilities.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform required inspections and preventive maintenance under guidance to maximize safety, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Learn to perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs under guidance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Address driver vehicle inspection reports promptly under guidance.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications on engines, transmissions and other systems.
• Document all work on work orders following the complaint, cause, and correction format.
