Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Anchorage is seeking an Apprentice Fleet Technician to learn safe, reliable maintenance and inspections on the company fleet, from tractors to light‑duty vehicles. Under the guidance of Fleet Tech II/III or fleet supervisor, you will perform preventive maintenance, participate in annual CVI inspections, diagnose issues, and document all work in Sysco computer programs to ensure safety and reliability.

No prior experience required; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in heavy/medium duty trucks preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Apprentice will receive performance reviews and training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
• Learn to perform Annual CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose causes and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work on work orders using the company system.
• Develop proficiency with Sysco computer programs under supervision.
