Job summary

Sysco in Lincoln, NE seeks an experienced Fleet Mechanic to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective vehicle operation. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of fleet equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include conducting annual inspections, diagnosing complex issues, and completing work orders while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of medium/heavy-duty truck technical training.
• 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• 609 HVAC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct annual FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Document all work on work orders.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use diagnostic equipment.
• Repair electrical and welding tasks as needed.
