Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Fleet Technician for night shifts to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on our fleet to maximize safety and reliability. The role emphasizes diagnostics, adherence to DOT regs, and teamwork within a large national logistics network.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years in fleet maintenance, ASE/EPA certifications, and a willingness to work nights with overtime as needed. A CDL is preferred but not required; Union and full benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent experience.
• ASE or EPA certifications are advantageous; maintain inspector certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections within planned time tolerances.
• Carry out FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Document work performed on work orders and update maintenance records.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist Fleet Manager when needed.
• Address DVIR write-ups promptly and efficiently.
• Perform electrical repairs and welding as required.
