Job summary

Sysco Foods seeks a skilled automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of vehicles to reduce downtime and improve reliability. The role requires diagnosing complex issues across engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have medium/heavy-duty truck training, a valid driver's license, and ASE or HVAC certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year school plus 1 year of experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks preferred but not required.
• 609 HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, lift-gates).
• Follow procedures and document work orders.
• Utilize Sysco computer programs and diagnostic tools.
