Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable preventive maintenance and expert diagnosis on heavy/medium trucks and refrigeration units to minimize downtime while improving fleet performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of fleet maintenance experience (or 2-year school + 4 years), ASE certifications, EPA HVAC/refrigeration or related credentials, and ability to work on electrical systems and weld as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required).
• 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair or 2-year school plus 4 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drive-lines, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Document all work performed on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
