Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Louisville, KY seeks a skilled Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs to manufacturer specifications, and maintain records using Sysco software.

Ideal candidates have medium/heavy-duty truck training and a valid CDL, with 2–3 years of related experience and strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, welding, and OSHA/DOT

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
• Current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform Annual inspections on all fleet vehicles (tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles) per laws.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely and efficiently.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair to manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, HVAC, etc.).
