Job summary

SRM Concrete in Orlando seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain our diesel-powered mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and ensure repairs are completed safely and on schedule.

Entry-level candidates are welcome with on-the-job training; CDL is preferred but not required. We offer overtime after eight hours, bonuses and annual raises, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; on-the-job training available for entry-level candidates.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.
