Job summary

SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, hires Fleet Mechanics to keep mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment running safely and efficiently.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—we offer on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance. A CDL is preferred, valid driver’s license required, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certs are a plus.
• Willingness to work variable shifts; on-the-job training available for beginners.
• Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy trucks.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components like engines and transmissions.
• Schedule maintenance with the operations team to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety policies are followed in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep maintenance records in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel technology and repair techniques.
