Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain our fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and perform repairs to keep vehicles running safely and on schedule.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply with on-the-job training; CDL not required initially but may be preferred. If you are a hands-on problem solver with a focus on safety, join our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems preferred.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on engine technology and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components like engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain safety compliance and keep accurate records in company systems.
