Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension and drive train. You will work under supervision and support drivers on routes nationwide.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Prior experience with maintenance on Classes 1-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 Years of experience in a technician position with diesel and gasoline knowledge.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and performs preventive and repair maintenance on vehicle components.
• Repair and maintenance of chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engines, suspension, drivetrain, and HVAC.
• Perform line welding and fabrication and provide road service when needed.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training.
