Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, HVAC, and drive train systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and occasionally provide on-road service to keep fleets operational.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a technician role or are graduating from an automotive program, with ASE certifications being a plus and a CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on-road.
• Provide road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation safely.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete required training.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
