Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose multi-system issues and perform repair work on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You will service chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, air brakes, and HVAC. Basic tire work and road service may be required.

The role emphasizes safe operation, on-site and field maintenance, and ongoing training on new technologies. A CDL and ASE credentials are a plus; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• Knowledge of heavy/medium duty trucks (Class 7-8) and related systems.
• ASE T1–T8 certifications are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years in a technician role or recent graduation from automotive college/tech school.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, air brake, and control systems.
• Perform light engine repair and HVAC service.
• Conduct line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide safe road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
• Adhere to company training programs and safety standards.
