Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Flowery Branch, GA is seeking a Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Engine Shop. In this role, you'll mentor apprentices, lead projects, and continue growing your career.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred; ASE certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with dealership management and diagnostic software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.
• Identify additional maintenance or safety concerns for customers.
• Mentor apprentices and help lead the team when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership standards.
• Stay current on OEM technical bulletins and industry best practices.
