Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Technician to join our Engine Shop. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks while mentoring teammates and leading projects.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience, Cummins Engine Repair Certification, and strong troubleshooting skills. CDL is a plus; ASE certifications are beneficial. Join a team that values quality craftsmanship and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification is required.
• Master Technician certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
