Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking an entry-level maintenance assistant to support preventative maintenance and basic repairs on a fleet of Diesel and CNG vehicles in Tulsa, OK. You will work under shop leadership, assist with inspections, and participate in safety trainings to ensure road-ready vehicles.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, a willingness to learn more complex diagnostics, and the ability to read manuals and communicate with team members and vendors.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge/experience of at least 1+ years.
• Willingness to learn more complex diagnostic and repair processes.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related state/federal regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organization levels and with customers/vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic software is preferred; ability to be trained in software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs to Diesel and CNG vehicles.
• Assist inspection of brake systems, engines, emissions, steering and wheel bearings.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Complete work orders and order parts as directed by shop supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety regulations.
• Under supervision, perform DOT, PM and safety inspections on fleet vehicles.
