Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Diesel Mechanic in Vian, OK to repair and maintain our Diesel and CNG fleet for safe, road-ready operation. You’ll diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct inspections under shop leadership.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to read technical manuals. CDL within six months is preferred; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Willingness to obtain CDL within six months of employment.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain GFL's Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision of maintenance leadership.
• Complete basic inspections of brake systems, engine components, emissions systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and related parts.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform administrative duties as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with safety regulations.
