Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking an entry-level maintenance assistant to support preventative maintenance and basic repairs on Diesel and CNG vehicles. You will assist with inspections, perform routine service, and help document work orders.

The role requires willingness to learn, basic computer skills, and a drive to develop diagnostic abilities. CDL class A/B preferred; ASE certs are a plus. Equal opportunity employer and safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge/experience of at least 1+ years.
• Willingness to learn more complex diagnostic and repair processes.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
• Experience using diagnostic software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs on Diesel and CNG vehicles.
• Inspect brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheel bearings, and related parts.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Complete work orders and order parts as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety regulations.
