Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking an experienced diesel and CNG mechanic to maintain a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and service heavy trucks, ensuring brake, engine, and emission systems operate safely and reliably.

Under supervision, you will perform inspections, complete reports, and participate in ongoing training to sharpen skills and stay current with safety regulations. This role requires strong hands-on ability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred and knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Inspect brakes, engine components, emissions, steering, bearings for proper operation.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform electronics diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Complete DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Prepare reports, work orders, and order parts daily.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Support training and skill development opportunities.
• Collaborate with shop leadership and senior mechanics.
