Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a skilled Diesel/CNG Maintenance Technician in Fort Worth, TX to keep our fleet road-ready. Under supervision, you'll diagnose, repair and maintain diesel and CNG trucks, perform brake and DOT inspections, and manage work orders and parts requests.

Requirements include 3+ years in diesel/CNG maintenance, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and ideally a Class A/B CDL and ASE certifications. Computer-literate and willing to obtain CDL within six months are pluses.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
• Experience using diagnostic software is preferred.
• Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems.
• Class A or B CDL preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet.
• Complete basic inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.
• Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical equipment and hydraulic systems.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.
• Complete work as scheduled by shop supervision or higher-grade technicians.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.
