Job summary

GFL is seeking an experienced diesel/CNG vehicle technician to diagnose, repair and maintain our fleet, ensuring road-ready condition under shop leadership. You will perform standard inspections, test drives, and electronic diagnostics while completing necessary paperwork and maintaining a safe, compliant work area.

The role emphasizes CDL consideration, OSHA/DOT familiarity, and ongoing training opportunities; strong safety culture and team environment are highlighted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Class A or B CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Conduct basic inspections of brake systems, engines, emissions, steering, wheels.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Complete reports and orders; maintain safety standards.
